A strelitzia reginae (bird of paradise) seed. It wasn’t even necessary to read past the first paragraph of the Wikipedia article to learn this species was named after Charlotte of Mecklenburg-Strelitz, amateur botanist, queen consort of King George III, and mother of 15 children.
